Best Ever Vegan Red Velvet Cake

This red velvet cake is *undetectably vegan, eggless, dairy free, nut free, and easily gluten free!

It's super moist, tender, fluffy, and soft with a hint of tang and cocoa for that classic red velvet taste. Layered with a dairy free cream cheese frosting, you're going to love it!

Here's what you need:

Flour: you can use all purpose or gluten free 1:1 baking flour Vegan butter: I use Flora Plant Butter, which tastes nearly identical to dairy butter. Dairy free milk Vinegar Granulated sugar: I also used to recommend that you could make this cake refined sugar free. You can, technically, but please note that the color will not be traditional red velvet then. Unsweetened applesauce: this replaces eggs in regular baking Baking soda + powder Cocoa Powder Beet powder or plant based food coloring

An Overview of the Process

You can bake this cake either by hand or with a stand mixer. If you've baked a traditional cake before, the process is not dissimilar!

There are Four Main Steps

First, whisk together the dry ingredients. Then make the batter by creaming together the wet ingredients, followed by folding in the dry. Then bake the cakes, and cool!

Then we frost the cake!

I used Violife Vegan Cream Cheese for this AMAZING vegan cream cheese frosting. No coconut taste, and it's smooth and creamy like regular frosting! Everyone loves this frosting, vegan or not!

You are just going to love this easy vegan red velvet cake!
