Moist and delicious yet secretly healthy apple cinnamon bread made entirely vegan! You won’t believe this easy fresh apple bread is low fat and low sugar!

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour or gluten free 1:1 baking flour, sifted
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup dairy free milk (I recommend coconut, cashew, or oat milk), room temperature
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce, room temperature

Apple Filling:

  • 1 cup chopped apples, skin removed (about 2 medium sized apples
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

Oat Crumble:

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

  1. Preheat the oven to 375F and line a 9″ loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, coconut sugar, cinnamon, cinnamon, baking powder, and baking soda.
  3. Add in the dairy free milk and unsweetened applesauce. Fold to combine until all dry ingredients are completely mixed. Set aside.
  4. Apple Filling: In a small bowl, combine the coconut oil, coconut sugar, and cinnamon.
  5. Pour half the batter into the loaf pan, then drizzle in the coconut oil and sugar mixture. Sprinkle the chopped apples on top of the cinnamon sugar mixture. Pour the remaining batter on top of the apple filling evenly.
  6. Oat Crumble: In another small bowl, mix together the oats, maple syrup, coconut oil, and cinnamon. Sprinkle the oat crumble on top of the batter.
  7. Place the loaf pan in the oven and bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then carefully remove from the pan.
  9. Slice and enjoy. Store any leftovers in an airtight container or sealable bag and in the fridge for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
