Iced Strawberry Green Tea Lemonade
The most refreshing iced strawberry green tea lemonade, made with whole and simple ingredients! Sweetened only with strawberries, it’s completely refined sugar free and so easy!
What’s pink and green and yellow, and tastes so dang refreshing and good?! Iced strawberry green tea lemonade, of course!
This iced strawberry green tea lemonade tastes like a fun and lightly caffeinated spin off of a strawberry lemonade recipe, but is completely refined sugar free!
This iced green tea recipe is quite literally just made with fresh and whole ingredients, including the actual green tea! For this recipe, I partnered with Yogi teas because their green tea is just my absolute favorite; Yogi teas focuses on creating tea blends that support wellness in body and mind, which is very fitting for The Banana Diaries!
It’s actually quite funny because in college, I used to work at a local tea shop during the summer, so it was just a matter of time before I showed you how to make iced tea at home! You’re going to fall in love with this iced strawberry green tea lemonade, I just know it!
Simple ingredients, no processed additives, pure and sweet taste. In fact, the only sweetener in this recipe is the strawberries! Pretty cool, huh? Let’s dive in!
This post is sponsored and in collaboration with Yogi teas. I am so grateful to be able to work with companies that align with The Banana Diaries!
Ingredients for Iced Strawberry Green Tea Lemonade
Yogi tea Pure Green Tea Bags: this is my all time favorite tea by Yogi. It’s light and refreshing, and allows for more flavors to be added whenever and however you please! For this tea, we’ll be using 8 tea bags, as iced tea gets watered down very easily from the ice. We need the flavor to hold up! But don’t worry, your iced strawberry green tea lemonade won’t be overly powerful, and I’ll teach you a tip for getting it just right!
Lemon: for this recipe, we’ll only need 1 lemon! This ensures that the green tea lemonade isn’t overpowered by the lemon- you’ll still be able to taste both the flavors of the strawberry puree and the green tea (which won’t be filled with tannins!).
Strawberries: ’tis the season! What I love most about this ice green tea recipe is that it’s only sweetened with fresh strawberries! Since this is a summer time iced green tea recipe, fresh strawberries are key, as they’re perfectly in season and sweet! That’s what makes this fun version of a strawberry lemonade recipe refined sugar free. The only sugar comes from naturally from fruit!
Filtered Water: for this iced strawberry green tea, we’ll need about 8 cups of water. Of course, you can scale it down or up depending on how many people you are serving, but I found that 8 cups is a good baseline.
Now that we’ve gone over the (easy and simple) ingredients for making a iced strawberry green tea lemonade, let’s go over how it all comes together!
How to make strawberry puree
Like I said earlier, what I love most about this green tea lemonade recipe is how sweet it is, yet that it’s only sweetened with fresh fruit.
I’m serious, you don’t even need to cook the strawberries! All you’ll need for making the strawberry puree that goes into the green tea lemonade are strawberries and a small food processor or blender.
Slice your strawberries in half, enough to fill 11/2 cups. Place the strawberries in the food processor and just blend until it’s completely smooth.
Now, some people might want the seeds, and others might not. Personally, I don’t mind a few seeds, so I don’t strain the strawberry puree, but if you’d like to, simple pour the strawberry puree over a sieve and into a glass jar or bowl. Squeeze out the puree and then discard the seeds!
See? Really easy! Now that we have our strawberry puree, let’s move onto how to make iced tea, which is just as simple 🙂
How to make iced tea
So you might be wondering how to make iced tea (maybe you’re used to purchasing it instead of actually making it…don’t worry, I’ve been there! Though once you try this iced green tea recipe, you won’t ever need to purchase an iced tea again 😉 ).
And in fact, it’s just as easy as making strawberry puree! Or even regular tea…only scaled up to serve more people!
So, to make iced strawberry green tea lemonade, first start by heating up the water in a large enough pot to hold 8 cups. Bring the water to a boil, and then remove the pot from the heat.
Place your Yogi tea Green Tea bags into the boiling water and let the tea steep for 10-15 minutes. Don’t worry, this won’t make the tea taste too bitter!
Next, pour the steeped tea into a large pitcher and add about 1 cup of ice. Don’t put the tea into the fridge just yet, as your glass will be too hot and this could result in shattered glass and all of your iced strawberry green tea gone!
Let the pitcher sit out on the counter for about 30 minutes, and then place the pitcher into the fridge for an hour.
When you’re ready to serve this spin off of a strawberry lemonade recipe, add in another cup or two of ice cubes and the strawberry puree! Stir the iced tea so that the strawberry puree is well mixed and serve to your guests or enjoy whenever you need a nice cold drink!
How easy was making that iced green tea recipe? You’re new favorite, right? Thought so 😉
It’s the perfect summertime refreshment, and a great nonalcoholic option for kids and adults alike, much like my virgin strawberry lime margaritas 🙂 Bring this to a party and you’ll have people lining up to ask you how to make this iced strawberry green tea lemonade!
I hope you love this recipe as much as I do, and if you happen to make it, let me know down in the comments! I look forward to seeing your recreations on Pinterest and Instagram, as always!
Happy sipping!

Thank you for taking time to make this excellent recipe page. This is exactly what I wanted to start my journey making my own iced green tea refreshments! I tend to get them already made and that’s OK, but would love to have a fresh healthier pitcher at home just waiting for me! I read the entire instructions. If you don’t mind, I just wanted to mention in the instructions, I hadn’t seen it stated when lemon was to be added. However, I found it in your actual recipe so that’s great! Thank you again! I hope to report back haha!
