The Banana Baking Crew Challenge- November 2024 Recipe
Welcome to the fourth monthly Banana Baking Crew Challenge- a monthly challenge where we bake one recipe together, and at the end of the month, a winner will be selected at random for a prize!
Happy November! Have we officially started decorating for the holidays?! I know I already have…whoops haha. So I thought what better way to officially kick off holiday baking season than with a classic: vegan caramel cheesecake!
But before we dive in, welcome new Banana Bunch members who might be curious as to what the Banana Baking Crew is!
What is the Banana Baking Crew?
Well, I’m glad you asked 🙂 And so glad you’re here!
I’ve loved seeing all of you submit photos of the recipes you’ve made from The Banana Diaries daily. It’s one of the best parts about this job, and I still pinch myself that I’m now getting emails, DM’s, and comments from readers all over the globe making and sharing these vegan recipes.
So I decided what better way to celebrate you all then to bring our community together with monthly baking challenge where this time, you can enter to win a prize!
On the first of every month, I’ll share a recipe (either new or from The Banana Diaries archives!) that serves to build our baking skills together and share our creations! You’ll submit a photo of your creation, which I’ll compile and add a collection of everyone’s creations here (anonymously of course!).
At the end of the month, I’ll select a winner at random who then gets to choose between a $150 Amazon, Whole Foods, or Williams Sonoma gift card!
How to participate:
It’s so easy, here’s how to enter:
- Sign up for the newsletter: This way you’ll be notified of the new recipe directly to your inbox. You’ll also learn about other community activities and new recipes that are published! Only newsletter subscribers are eligible to participate in the Banana Baking Crew.
- Make the recipe from the current month: Each month will be a new recipe!
- Take a photo and send it to me! Once you’ve baked the challenge recipe, snap a photo of it (doesn’t have to be pretty!) and email it to me at [email protected] to be entered.
But please see FAQs for participants outside of the U.S.!
You can of course leave a review and a photo on the recipe page itself, as well as share on social! We’re not doing extra entries just so that we can keep track of everyone’s entry in one place, but the spreading of vegan recipes is always appreciated 🙂
On the last day of each month, I’ll select a winner at random from all of the recipes and contact them via email to select their prize of a $150 gift to either Amazon, Whole Foods, or Williams Sonoma 🙂

Last month’s recipe:
You all were amazing with your vegan pumpkin breads. I was blown away by the participation with this one. And each loaf looked absolutely incredible!
There were so many submissions this round, but I wanted to show off a few of your creations!! You did SO well!!
And the winner of last month’s Baking Challenge is:
Sara K.
Thank you so much to all who entered! The winner has been emailed 🙂
This month’s recipe:
Easy Ultra Creamy Vegan Salted Caramel Cheesecake – No nuts, no coconut, no tofu!
This is the most silky, rich, and ultra creamy salted caramel cheesecake to ever exist, and it’s all unbelievably vegan (and dairy free and no eggs!). It has a crisp, ‘buttery’ graham cracker crumb, lush caramel vanilla cheesecake batter, and topped with a thick layer of gooey salted caramel that pulls just like caramel. This is a must bake cheesecake.
Important Details & FAQs:
How old do I need to be to enter?
You must be at least 18 years old to enter.
What if I live outside of the U.S.?
You can absolutely still enter! However, depending on the location, we can also send your prize through PayPal 🙂
Can my photo submission also include people?
We will only accept photos of the recipe itself- no people in the photos please!
What if I want to bake something else?
If pumpkin is not your thing, not a problem- you can make ANY pie recipe from the site for the holidays and you’ll be entered! Seriously, any! I recommend pumpkin pie or chocolate cream pie, but the choice is yours 🙂
I’m so excited to see your creations!! Cannot wait to see how this month’s challenge goes for you, and I cannot wait to share your creations with the rest of the Banana Bunch community 🙂
Happy baking!
Hi ! I want to participate this month but I am a little confused on the post. It says that this month’s recipe is the Salted Caramel cheesecake but then on the bottom section goes into mentioning pumpkin pie. Is the recipe for November the cheesecake ? If I am not a fan of caramel could I make another kind of cheesecake from the blog and have it still count ?
Oh I’m so sorry for the confusion! So yes, the caramel cheesecake is the main challenge- but for those who don’t want to make a cheesecake, you can do any of the pies on the site (since it will be Thanksgiving and perfect for baking season this month!). Let me know if you have any other questions 🙂 Can’t wait to see what you bake!
